What are pretty foods, and why are they so important?


Food is the most beautiful thing on this planet, in my opinion. The vibrance, the shapes, the

textures, the colors, the places it grows, and the amazing things it can transform into just for a matter of "taste."

I am a creative nut, and have a deep passion for food, art, and anything beautiful, especially things you can totally transform to something entirely different than its original starting point. But it is a bit different and more magical when coming from Mother Nature herself. Food is the best example of this. Taking something so pretty, creating a beautiful meal, to enjoying the wonderful flavors AND THEN to what it does from there. It completely and effortlessly nourishes your body. It's literally mind blowing when you think of it that way. It is constantly changing its purpose all to one end game - pleasure and benefits. Now, that’s if you choose a pretty food.

Your body only wants what’s good for it or it rejects it. It's so simple: give it something pretty and in result you will feel incredible, full of light and energy. Give it something not so pretty such as refined sugars or alcohol and you get the reverse effect - dullness, bad skin, low energy, weight gain and so many more things that are so detrimental to our overall well being. By no means am I saying only eat green because I do believe "all things in moderation," of course. But do mostly give yourself the pretty stuff.

Pretty foods keep you alive. We have access to so many varieties of healthy foods that we should be taking more advantage of.

There are certain things we should always remember. Eating clean is always a given, but if you want to take it one step further then here we go: seasonal eating! Always eat what’s in season. When you pay attention to what is in season, it is actually easier to buy local and not overseas. The damage from pesticides and other chemicals in the process of transportation of our goods is not so good for our inner beauty.

They always say inner beauty is more important than outer beauty, and this is true, but you can't have one without the other. Did you know these foods will make you prettier on the outside too? Every food has its own to do list in your body, and I’m going to give you the gist of what you may or may not have known already.

I hope to inspire you to know your worth from the inside out. Your body is the temple to your soul. Treat it well and it in return it will gift you with lifelong health, better skin, more energy, better sex, better eyesight, higher attention span, longer and stronger hair and nails, the list goes on!
